Meaning Of NCC - 

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the youth wing of Armed Forces with its headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organisation, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens.

The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organisation which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and drill. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.

The National Cadet Corps is a milatary traning organization of India, which gives training to the youth of India like students of schools and colleges.
It is a three service organization, which comprises Army, Navy and Air Wing.

History Of NCC

The NCC was formed in 15 July 1948, with National Cadet Corps Act.
To give equal opportunities to girls of schoola and colleges, In 1948 Girls Division was also added to NCC.
In 1950 the " Air Wing " was added to NCC and after that in 1952 " Naval Wing " was added to NCC.
The NCC cadets were the second line of defence during Indo - Pakistani War 1965, and Bangladesh - Pakistani War 1971.
